I started working on the Bainbridge scarf using the cushy blue yarn I spun from Juliespins lavender fiber. I am not sure I’ll be able to continue making it on 2 knitting needles instead of a circ though…it’s going to take a nice long time.
It’s very much a thick and thin chunky yarn. I started out swatching with a size 5 needle, but moved up to size 8 and it still seems a little too small sometimes. I think I am going to have to practice uniformity in my spinning even more that I thought I was. I will probably go ahead and order the spinning DVDs that teach how to make art yarn, and hopefully learn to better control the process.
I checked Jo’s socks by getting my mom to try them on, since she wears 7 1/2 to 8 shoes. The feet were too big, so I frogged back to the heel and worked the decreases down from 56 to 48 stitches. I love the fabric the colors in the yarn are making. I have pretty much been working on those exclusively.
